Status Report

  1. Submittals...The contractor: Berks Ridge, has been submitting their catalog information of the products that they propose to install based on their interpretation of the specifications, for the most part D+J/S&H have accepted them. However, one of the HVAC submittals was rejected as not meeting the specs and BR resubmitted a different product that met the specs and was accepted. All these materials are on order.

  2. Colors..D+J has met with you, Peg, Jean and me to select colors for various areas, e.g.,carpets, walls, lights, cabinets, etc.

  3. HVAC...D+J, S&H, and I met with Jack Schuerger to review the HVAC equipment, controls, etc. It was a productive meeting: we all, including JS, came away agreeing on what was specified, with some minor changes.

  4. Audio Visual...D+J and I met with Don Trauger to discuss his A/V needs. A summary of that meeting has been sent to Don and we are awaiting his response to verify that we have it correct. His needs include such things as window blinds and new projection screen in the Main Hall. Replacing the portable equipment cabinet in the Main Hall with a built-in equipment cabinet to match the "coffee bar" cabinet; additional lighting in the Main Hall to illuminate the area where the choir usually gathers; a new projection screen and outlets in the Ardmore Room; additional outlets in the new Billiards Room and the Malvern Room.

  5. Security...I have met with Ed McFalls and Peg to discuss a keying sequence within the building. I have also talked with Marc Fraser about integrating the HMCC exterior door keys to the overall HM master keying system using A-l Security. We have also agreed with Marc that we will change the locks in the exterior doors during construction so that no one who holds a key will be able to enter during construction. We will give Security a copy of the construction key so that they will have access in the event of an emergency.

  6. Schedule...The contractor will start erecting their security fence after Christmas. We have coordinated the location of this fence with Ed McFalls to ensure that the residents behind the HMCC and the bus have free access in and out.
